The YWCA Northern Rhode Island and The Rhode Island Alliance are presenting the exhibit by California-based photographer Michael Nye. It’s called “Children of Children, Portraits and Stories of Teenage Parents.” each of its 50 black-and-white photographs is accompanied by an audio story.
An opening at the TSETSE (TEET’-see) Gallery in Providence is scheduled for Tuesday evening. Rhode Island first lady Stephanie Chafee (CHAY’-fee) is expected to attend.
The event will include a conversation on teen pregnancy as a public health issue and how the community can help reduce teen pregnancy.
The exhibit will run to June 11.
